We're thrilled to share that Symphonic Digital has been named a finalist in the 2026 Grand Indies Awards in the Tech Innovation category for our work with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. — "Rebuilding Organic Visibility for the AI-First Era."

The Grand Indies, presented by Worldwide Partners (WPI), recognize creativity, innovation, and effectiveness from independent agency partners across the globe. This year's competition drew 83 entries from 35 agencies across 17 countries, and our Sierra Nevada campaign earned a spot among the top five shortlisted entries in the Tech Innovation category. We're honored to be in the company of outstanding agencies from the UK, Canada, Czechia, and South Africa — all pushing boundaries in how technology shapes modern marketing.

The Work Behind the Recognition

Our partnership with Sierra Nevada centered on a challenge many brands are now facing: how do you stay visible when the way people search is fundamentally changing?

Google's AI Overviews and LLM-powered discovery tools like ChatGPT have rewritten the rules of organic search. Traditional long-form, keyword-heavy pillar content — once the gold standard of SEO — was losing ground. Sierra Nevada's Hazy IPA content, despite the brand's strong domain authority and iconic reputation in the craft beer world, was slipping in visibility.

We responded by completely re-architecting Sierra Nevada's content strategy for an AI-first landscape. That meant reverse-engineering conversational search behavior, mapping more than 100 real user questions sourced from "People Also Ask," Reddit, and ChatGPT queries, and rebuilding legacy pillar pages into a network of focused, modular Q&A-style landing pages — each answering a single user question with clarity and precision.

On the technical side, we implemented FAQ, HowTo, and Product schema to make every page machine-readable — not just for Google, but for the AI models powering tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. We even built custom GPT agents to simulate how large language models interpreted and surfaced Sierra Nevada's content, allowing us to refine tone, clarity, and semantic relevance in real time.

The Results

The impact spoke for itself:

  • +490% increase in organic traffic to key Hazy IPA content pages
  • +345% growth in visibility across Google AI Overviews within 90 days
  • +84% rise in referral traffic from ChatGPT and other LLM platforms

These numbers reflect more than an SEO win — they represent a fundamental shift in how brands need to think about content, structure, and discoverability in an era where both humans and machines are reading your pages.

What This Means to Us

Being shortlisted for the Grand Indies is a meaningful recognition of the kind of work we believe in at Symphonic Digital: strategy that's grounded in data, forward-looking in its approach, and built to deliver measurable results. It's a testament to our team's expertise in AI-optimized SEO and to Sierra Nevada's willingness to embrace a bold new direction.

The category winners and Best of Show will be announced on May 6, 2026 at the TRANSFORM 26 Global Summit in Austin, Texas. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed — but regardless of the outcome, we're proud to see this work recognized on a global stage.

A huge thank you to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. team for trusting us with this challenge, and to Worldwide Partners for continuing to spotlight the innovative work coming out of independent agencies worldwide.
